A lot has come out of GDC (The Game Developer's Conference, n00b.) in the past week. So much so that I'm not going into detail, but rather listing all the awesome news.
-Microsoft is getting into the handheld market by adding games to their Zune mp3 player. Well...It's the thought that counts.
-Virtual reality and perfect AI is predicted to be coming in 2029, thanks to nano technology.
-On top of that, the home computer is now predicted to disappear in 2010, because of integration into other appliances.(Like the fridge that tells you when you're hungry.)
-Portal took top honours at GDC Choice Awards.
-What? Nintendo is now integrating a Pay for Play online service? That better not be slapped onto Brawl...I'll follow up on this next week.
-On the flip side Nintendo is also working on a way to store more saves, channels, and VC games onto the Wii by compressing data until it's called upon.
That's it this week, more on the Wii Pay for Play next week.
