Game Review: Mario Party DS

I'm almost sure that anyone who likes the Mario Party series thinks that this has gone on long enough, and that Mario Party Advance sucked. For me, the thing that killed this series was the release of four (count 'em, four) MP titles for the Gamecube. Yup, four. Thankfully, Mario Party 8 was a breath of fresh air for the MP franchise, due mainly to the new Wii controls. (I was sold at the fact you actually can HIT the dice block with the Wii Remote.) With Mario Party DS, Mario Party may make it a little while longer. With six game boards, a full-fleged story (no more MP5 Koopa Kid battle maps, or MP6-7 Solo Mode.)and really fun mini-games, this game is just great. The best part? With only one card, you can play an incredibly smooth multiplayer game, on any map, with all minigames, and some fun multiplayer exclusive modes too.
But this is still a Mario Party game, and it doesn't take advantage of Nintendo Wi-Fi what-so-ever. Still, this game deserves a five out of six.
